Improve Performance

Through targeted directional compression zones, the Opedix® Base Layer supports key muscles that often tire out first, especially around your hips and knees. This reduces fatigue during long training days and limits wasted energy caused by inefficient movement. You’ll feel more responsive in your legs and able to ski more runs without feeling worn out.

OPEDIX® FAQs

What is kinetic alignment?

Kinetic alignment is the optimal positioning of the body’s joints and muscles during movement. When the hips, knees, and core are properly aligned, forces are distributed more efficiently, reducing strain on vulnerable joints, improving movement mechanics, and allowing muscles to work the way they are intended.

What is directional compression?

Targeted directional compression in the Opedix® Base Layer is the patented system of strategically placed compression zones that support key muscles and guide joint positioning. By applying pressure in specific directions, it helps the body maintain proper alignment, improves movement efficiency, reduces fatigue, and protects vulnerable joints during activity.

Who is the Opedix® Base Layer for?

The Opedix® Base Layer is built for skiers and was tested on snow with ski racing athletes. Wear it anytime you’re on the hill for training or races to protect joints, support muscles, and reduce fatigue. It’s also ideal for the gym or post-session recovery, helping you maintain alignment and bounce back faster after hard workouts with targeted compression.

Is the Opedix® Base Layer comfortable to wear under ski gear?

Absolutely. The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and designed to move with you. It provides targeted support without the bulk or restriction of braces or heavy compression layers.

Why is the Opedix® Base Layer ideal for ski racers?

Competitive skiers benefit from enhanced joint support and muscle activation. The directional compression zones guide proper alignment, reduce stress on vulnerable joints, and improve movement efficiency. Tested on snow, ski racers experienced less fatigue and a lower rate of injuries, making it an incredible layer for improved performance and protection.

Opedix are a GAME CHANGER!

I have been using my Opedix by SYNC for about a month and they have made a tremendous difference in my training. This as I have been rehabbing a reoccurring calf issue that started in February. I felt an immediate impact the first time I took them thru the paces at my functional fitness gym. Then again during my weekly runs. Which is where the calf tends to flair up. I spent two weeks in Opedix then went back to my Incrediwear sleeves to see the difference. Again, it was quickly apparent the sleeves do not offer the alignment and support of these new SYNC Opedix tights. This week I returned to the tights and have continued to see improved performance, decreased pain and quicker recovery between workouts. I’m a believer and recommend these tights for your training efforts. Great job SYNC! Way to innovate.

Good, but not great

The leggings are extremely light, and I am hoping they will last more than a season, especially at this price point. I'm also concerned about being able to use the product for skiing, as they don't have a lot of warmth, so a second layer might be needed on cooler days. The compression around the knees and quads is good, but doesn't feel as firm as other products I use. Great for cooler days on walks. Ski season ended early, so I didn't get a chance to use it on the slopes.

Great Support

I have been a user of Opedix for 15 years....and this is my 2nd pair...my original pair have been very durable, warm and comfortable. I felt I needed more support and purchased the Directional Compression Base Layer recently. I am 5'6" tall and weigh 153 lbs. I have worn the new pair skiing 10 times so far this season. They offer great support. My only concern was that the waist band was extremely tight to the point of being uncomfortable in a sitting position. I took them to my tailor and had him put an elastic band removing the top 2 inches from the new Opedix. This did not interfere with performance and gave my 33 inch waist some breathing room. The support from the waist down gives me great confidence when skiing. The material is different from my first pair and maybe a little less warm but the tradeoff in support I feel is much improved over my previous pair.

Great support but missing important feature

Love the support for skiing. However it sure would be nice to have a fly for a pit stop off in the trees

Very happy with the new Opedix 1

I'm one of the original Opedix customers. I liked the product so much that I became a Representative and encouraged many of my fellow Ski Instructor friends to purchase them because of their outstanding performance. The New Sync brand of Opedix lives up to the expected performance. The fit and support provided help make all day skiing a pleasure!

Opedix

The Opedix compression base layer are awesome! I’ve run them for 10 ski days now and performance and support are great. My knees feel good at the end of the day and the following days. I look forward to trying them for golf this spring. I highly recommend!

Hey Mike! Thanks for the 5 STAR review! So great to hear that the OPEDIX are working as they are meant to and your knees are feeling great after wearing them!

Men’s Opedix

I own a rehab and performance clinic, and I don’t recommend products unless I’d wear them myself. I’ve been using Opedix by SYNC for skiing and the stability is instantly noticeable. The directional paneling feels like a soft brace that keeps my knees and hips stacked, especially when fatigue sets in. I’ve recommended them to patients with knee or hip pain who feel unstable, and the feedback has been consistent. It’s a legit support tool to help keep people moving and doing what they love.

Hey Taylor! Thanks for the 5 STAR review and the fact that you have tried our OPEDIX and are confortable recommending them to your patients! Glad to hear they perfrom for you where needed and provide the support needed and for others as well! Thanks for taking the time to let us know you are recommending!

Wore out quickly

Seemed to provide some support the first couple of times out, but seemed to 'wear out' quickly. I sent a few messages to customer support to see if this was normal, but I never heard anything back.

Noticeable improvement in endurance and recovery

Worn over merino base layer with recommended sizing for a snug but comfortable fit, I skied longer, feeling less burn and less soreness the next day. An extra bonus was the feeling of peeling them off at the end of the day.

Not as good as they used to be. :(

I am a professional Snowsports Instructor with over 33 years of experience in the industry. I have been using Opedix compression tights since they were first created many years ago. I believe in the benefits of compression technology.

Although this new revision of the tights aren't as good as the older (original) ones, they are still better than anything else you can find on the market.

The materials used in this new version do not feel as durable and the quality doesn't seem as good. Also, they do not seem to provide as much compression as the older versions. The older materials were much thicker and just had an overall better feel.

But unlike most other brands, they still provide compression and some support.

Opedix Directional Compression Base Layer is still much better than 2XU, CEP, Bracelayer, and any of the other major brands (Nike, Under Armor, etc....) so called "compression" tights.

Hey Ken! Thanks for the 4 STAR review, your feedback is very important to us and we apprecaite your honesty! Still better than anything else on the market works for us!

Compression Base Layer

One of the best compression base layers I've skied in. Hefty material with good elasticity. Compression bands around the knee area give very strong support, which is what I was looking. 5'11" 183lbs. Former D1 collegiate ski racer having had a couple of knee surgeries.

Hey Kurt, thanks for the 5 STAR review! Glad to hear they are providing the support you need!

I have not thoroughly tested these but the quality is outstanding.

Hey Andrew! Thanks for the 5 STAR review! Glad you see that the quality is outstanding! Now we can hope the science behind them is proven!

Preliminary Review

I bought this base layer because I was having knee replacement surgery on October 10, hoping it would assist me skiing this winter. The only review I can offer at this time is that the product fits true to size and appears to be manufactured very well. I can say more after my knee is sufficiently healed to wear the product

Thanks for the 5 STAR review! Glad the fit is perfect as well as quality! Best for a speedy recovery and a new knee, hope the OPEDIX will work well!
