For the Love of the Grind
Every athlete, parent, and coach knows the grind.
The long days on snow.
The back-to-back training sessions.
The races that test everything you have.
You recognize each other instantly: the quiet nods that say, "I know what it takes."
The wins feel bigger because the journey is shared. The setbacks feel smaller because you are not alone.
Ski racing is not for everyone, but for those who stay, the reward is the community, the understanding, and the people who push each other forward every season.
Building Support Where It Matters
Even the most dedicated people encounter challenges:
- Training guidance and resources are not always easy to find.
- Reliable gear that lasts through a full season can be hard to come by.
SYNC was born inside this ecosystem. Before it was a brand, it was ski racers who understood what 100+ days on snow really meant. We knew what it felt like to replace gear too often. We understood how much trust matters when committing to a full season. Jackets that restrict movement, pants that wear out mid-season, and layers that fail in harsh conditions can slow progress, cost confidence, and take focus away from the work that matters.
In 2014, we built something different:
- From start gates.
- From team vans.
- From the same community you are part of.
Because when you have lived it, you design differently. Not to be the hero of your story, but to fill the gaps that help athletes, parents, and coaches keep moving forward with confidence.
Journeys That Inspire
Athletes already do the hard work. Parents already manage the logistics and sacrifices. Coaches already guide the progress.
What carries them through is more than just effort. It’s connection, trust, and shared experience. Stef Fleckenstein, SYNC Athlete Ambassador and World Cup athlete, knows this well. Her Pano Jacket has been with her through every season, every country, every airport, wax room, and back-to-back race weekend:
Chile. France. Italy. Switzerland. Canada. United States. Austria. Germany. Bosnia and Herzegovina. Norway.
Through injury, rehab, and a return to World Cup speed training, that same jacket has been a constant. A small but reliable part of a bigger system of support, enabling Stef to focus on her performance, growth, and connection to the people who share the journey.
That sense of shared experience carries over to the Moritz sisters. All three siblings have been part of the SYNC Team, navigating the sport together, learning from one another, supporting each other through setbacks, and celebrating growth at every stage. Twins, Kjersti and Liv, now compete on the U.S. National Team, and the youngest, Solveig, continues to chase World Cup dreams. Their story is about trust, guidance, and the community that helps athletes thrive.
Through every adventure and shared experience, whether traveling the world or racing on a home hill, SYNC and the ski racing community are constants, standing with athletes, parents, and coaches through every training block, race, and milestone.
it takes a team
Ski racing may look individual in the start gate. But every run is supported by teammates pushing you in training, coaches shaping both your skiing and your character, parents making quiet sacrifices, and gear designed to last another season. The start is solo. The journey is shared.
A strong community and foundation keeps that effort sustainable. Networks of guidance, shared knowledge, and dependable tools help athletes stay consistent, navigate challenges, and keep growing.
Support shows up in many ways:
- Advice from someone who has lived it.
- A coach who knows when to push and when to rest.
- A teammate cheering you on when motivation is low.
- Gear built to last multiple seasons so athletes can focus on progress instead of replacement.
With this support, athletes, parents, and coaches can focus on what matters most, learning, improving, and achieving goals, while knowing they are never truly alone.
Together Through Every Season
Ski racing is about more than speed. It shapes people and builds community. Each run tests focus, strength, and strategy, while every setback teaches resilience and persistence. The hard days make the breakthroughs sweeter, and every powder day, bluebird morning, and podium finish fosters a sense of adventure and a deep appreciation for this incredible sport.
Through the challenges and triumphs, athletes grow not just in skill, but in character, learning the value of hard work, perseverance, and shared experiences. Over time, the journey creates not only stronger athletes, but a stronger, more connected community.
This community pushes each other forward, celebrates each victory, and carries the spirit of ski racing off the hill and into life.
