SYNC Athlete Fund 2019/20 Athletes Announced

by Kris Ochs on October 09, 2019

After launching the SYNC Athlete Fund in July committing $50,000 to fund developing athletes in need, we are proud to announce the grant recipients for its inaugural season!

The funds awarded to athletes will offset training and competition costs for the most promising and deserving athletes in the sport to help fill the funding gap as they strive for the highest levels of competition.

Applicants are selected based on three main factors: speed, financial need, and quality of responses to questions and letters of recommendation. After a thorough review by the Fund’s Selection Committee, 26 athletes were identified who best meet the Fund’s criteria and would be most meaningfully impacted by support from the SYNC Athlete Fund.

If we could solve the funding gap of US ski racing in one fell swoop we would, but as of now we haven’t quite figured that out...stay tuned. Some of the athletes that did not get accepted for the grant showed immense potential, and we know will be future leaders in their communities as well as on the hill.

Congratulations to this year's SYNC Athlete Fund Athletes and thank you to all those who applied, we are amazed by your commitment and passion for the sport. We wish you the best, and are excited to watch you do great things this season and beyond!

Best Jacket I've Owned

No question as to this is the best jacket I have owned. 6'3" 165lbs and medium fits great, slimmer fit. You will not regret this and never want to take it off. Amazing weight for warmth. Flexibility could not be better. Durability is top notch. No snags, scratches, holes and that's skiing Steamboat trees for 30+ days 3 seasons in a row.

Great race suit!

This has nice fabric, great design

Stretch Puffy

Great coat, but 4/5 as the zippers could pull more easily. It is largely a two-hand job to open phone pocket and difficult to open hand pockets instead of the typical glide of a nice zipper. Otherwise the fit and finish is excellent.

Men’s Benchmark Fleece Jacket

Ha! I love all your stuff. This fleece is well designed like most of your products and is great for travel, hiking, fall mountain biking and soon, I expect, skiing.
Love the high collar, one of my favorite features.

Great Race Suit

I’ve purchased 2 of these for my son. Prior we tried several others with POC’s being the best quality. These suits fit well, offer amazing padding / protection and are incredibly cut / tear resistant. The POC’s were certainly high quality, but these Sync’s are better. I don’t think there’s a better race suit on the market.
