The Weekly Stoke // Avalanche Safety With The BRASS Foundation

by Roger Carry on March 12, 2021

In 2015 an inbounds avalanche in Soelden, Austria claimed the lives of two young U.S. Ski Team athletes, Ronnie Berlack and Bryce Astle. Out of this tragedy the BRASS foundation was created to help recreational and high level skiers/snowboarders take steps towards avalanche awareness and risk mitigation.

This week on the Weekly Stoke we speak to Steve and Cindy Berlack who explain more about the foundation, what you can do to stay safe in avalanche terrain, and how you can help support further avalanche education.

Awesome jacket!

Jacket is very high quality, best down jacket I've ever owned - almost too cozy!

Super comfy sweats

I have 2 pair of these sweats and really love them. They are super soft. The fabric is quite warm and very comfortable. Great for active pursuits in cold weather. They do run a tad small in the waist, but otherwise fit true to size.

Great product, comfortable and warm!

Just a little stretch goes a long way

These are great pants and well made. I think a more robust fabric than the ones from the insect company. The stretch is not super stretchy, but it certainly make them more comfortable. For little kids the way the zippers don’t come all the way apart makes it much easier for them to put them back on while still on the hill.

Side zip pant

My son uses these six to seven days a week and we just ordered our second pair for next season. Well made, high quality, and functional. He does cut them up, but I would attribute that more to his use than any issue.
