Men's Stretch Puffy Jacket - Cordura®

Building upon the bread and butter, longest-running jacket in our lineup, the Stretch Puffy Jacket - Cordura® is the new and improved Men's Stretch Puffy Jacket. Built to withstand the elements but also includes a brand new ripstop nylon fabric that will deter those devastating nicks and scrapes or small holes that happen at the most inopportune moment.

Never abandoning high-performance the insulated puffy jacket still stretches in all directions just like the previous version. If you've ever felt restricted by your outerwear and saddened by the durability this is the jacket the solves that problem. It’s a jacket for the skier that wants a high-performance puffy that they can use as a ski jacket or chop wood, completely versatile enough for nights around the campfire or walking through the village.

Technical Performance

We designed these jackets with a durable, water-resistant outer shell fabric, and synthetic insulation because it keeps warm even when it’s wet. In addition, we added some reinforcement in high wear areas for when we are carrying skis on our shoulders and/or boot bags.

    This jacket does it all

Outstanding for both cold and warmer days on the hill. The jacket moves with your body, it’s the most comfortable piece of equipment I’ve got.

    Size Up

If you want it snug, get your normal size. If you want some room to layer, size up. The jacket is a little on the smaller end. Quality is great.

    NIce coat

I would give it five stars if it wasn't missing some minor details

5' 11", 205 lbs - Size L works for me. Slimmer fit than a typical size L coats. Coat seems designed for a taller slimmer body types but it works for me too.

It is reasonably warm, I think it will work well for -5C to -30C
I really appreciate the cordura fabric

I would like it if it had different colorways,
I would like it if it had a zipper pocket on the sleeve for lift passes
I would like it if it had a loop near the hip to attach lift tickets

The jacket was too small through the shoulders and armpit area.

    Nice jacket

    5' 7" 165 lbs size medium

Great jacket. Material appears to be durable, although not quite as stretchy as the original stretch puffy I bought in early Kickstarter days. Appears to be warm, although I haven't had the chance to wear it on a cold day yet. This is my 5th Sync jacket (preceded by original Stretch Puffy, softshell, down puffy, and recent Pano purchase, and 3 sets of snow pants) . Obviously, I love the Sync brand, although I do find that the sizing appears to be geared more toward slender tall guys, which forces me to choose between a medium, which is bit snug in the stomach area, or a large, which fits great in the midsection, but at the expense of being too long in the arms. I took off one star, because by now every ski jacket should have a sleeve pocket for lift passes since passes on the breast pocket frequently get jammed up by cell phones stored in the same area. Although I've seen other reviewers commenting on this oversight as well, Sync still hasn't addressed this issue. But otherwise, great product

    Works for me

I sized up one size based on comments, and that was the right choice because it would have been tight under the arm pits, but everything fits right after sizing up. I like the face fabric. A little more durable than a regular puffy and will better handle getting stuffed in a bag with screwdrivers, snowbits, and other things that tear puffy coats.

A bit tight through the shoulders.

I am about 5'9'' and 165#. 70 yo. Shoulders are somewhat atrophied unfortunately. Shelter coat the same size fits better through the shoulders. To any extent although I like your products I may stop buying them given the current political atmosphere (Trump/MAGA tariffs etc).

Checks all the boxes for a tall guy

I am 6’4” so it’s hard to find great stuff that keeps me warm and isn’t too short in the sleeves and, is built for an athletic build. This jacket checks all the boxes. I haven’t yet gotten to put it through its paces on the hill yet, though wearing it casually, it’s not giving me indication it is lacking and am confident this jacket is going to meet my expectations; fits well, warm, moves with me and looks great.

    Hi Derek,

We're psyched the jacket meets your expectations! Thanks for the detailed feedback. We can't wait to hear your official review once you test it out on the hill however, we are positive that you're going to continue to love the Stretch Puffy Cordura - have a great ski season!

Great quality but sizing between shell and puffer is a bit different

The shell fit great but the puffer is a more slim fit. No worries, will get biking in the spring! Beautiful jackets, super happy with all our Sync things!

    Hi William,

Thank you for your 5-star review! We are a small but growing company and your product feedback is greatly appreciated. We hope you enjoy the rest of the ski season and are getting ready for biking in the spring!

Jacket fits good but need moor room in the arm pit area.

I like my jacket however it could use more room under the arms by the arm pit. It’s just too tight in the area.

    Hi Kirk,

Thank you for your review! We greatly appreciate your feedback on the Stretch Puffy and will take this into consideration moving forward. Thank you again!

    Killer jacket.
Only complaint is that I’m 6 foot 52 and 230 pounds and. large is very difficult to get into. Hopefully you’ll consider extra large In the near future.
Thoughts if you really want to trick this or pimp this out:
Small RFID pocket on the left arm below the elbow for easy swiping, non-snag pocket for off piste, (phone in chest pocket too close to the RFID)
    Pit zips
    Waist and hood elastic closures.
More visible logo on black jacket
I am sure you’ve done the research on these things but I’d be willing to pay more to have those incorporated into the jacket
Of all the concerns, larger size and RFID pocket would be key

    Appreciate your concerns, TSC

By far one of the best jackets I've ever purchased. Feels great on you and doesn't feel like it impedes your movements. Great jacket for freeskiing, training, or just for day to day use. It's lightweight, warm and waterproof enough for anything but the heaviest rainy days.

Great ski jacket for training and general winter use

The stretch puffy is a great jacket that can take heavy day to day use in the winter. It's warm enough for most days, light enough, and really comfortable for skiing, training, and wearing around town. Highly recommended.

Really great coat! Super warm, great quality and moves really well. I do suggest Sync adds goggle pockets, but otherwise perfect as is.

    Comfortable and warm jacket.

This is such a comfortable jacket. The stretch fabric moves with you. The Stretch Puffy is surprisingly warm for its light weight, but also water resistant and breathable. Functional pockets and a large helmet compatible hood are great features. This is a great jacket for all but the coldest days.

    Men's stretch puffy

I purchased in late spring and have not skied in it yet, however it looks and feels like it will be a great piece of gear. Quality construction, though I have concerns about it's waterproofness (again I have not tested this).

Fit: I'm a stocky guy and the fit is a little slim for me...I could use (or I guess I could lose) another couple inches in the chest and middle.

Great to hear you are happy with the first impression of the Stretch Puffy. Keep us posted on how it performs for you on the hill!

    Love this puffy!

A really comfortable and warm jacket. While others have to bundle up with bulky midlayers, it's warm enough with just a sweater and necky in low teens. I Love the freedom of movement it gives.
