While I like the fit and features of this pant, it doesn't do well on a warmer wet day. But the biggest problem are the zippers and vent system -- they're terrible.

The upper hip zipper doesn't have a proper starting point, so when it zipped up the starting point releases on its own and you have to do that weird backward zip to then zip it up again. I constantly find that section of my pants undone.

And if you undo the zipper below to vent heat, that lack of a starting point creates a terrible weak point that ultimately breaks -- which is what happened to my pants recently.

Fortunately, once that secure point breaks, you can just use the bottom zip to go all the way up like a normal set of zipper pants.

I now understand why these have been deep discounted for so long.

Pants stretch well. The inseam is a strange fit, it’s almost like you have to pull the shoulder straps super tight so that they ride high enough to not sag or drop. I’ve worn mine 6 days and the zipper in the front pulled away from the material… big problem. Pockets are good. Boot cuff is normal. Straps are normal. Very comfortable. I like the fact that Vail has an apparel mfg.

The headwall collection is everything I was looking for in Sync's new product release. More freedom of movement with the shell jacket and bibs, plenty of pockets, and the design quality is top notch. This will be my go to kit all season, for both resort skiing and uphill laps. The ability to layer under the jacket depending on temperature, as well as the venting system ensures a no cold/low sweat situation. The colors are killer, and look even better in person. Buy it for you, and the ones you ride with, you won't be disappointed.

When I first received these bibs, I was worried they were a slim fit like other bibs I've worn and would be too restrictive. Being in the dad phase of my life and enjoying my fair share of IPA's, I need a little extra room to move around. They stretch beautifully in all the right places and I don't feel any resistance wearing them. Love the different zipper options to allow for venting and numerous pockets for pass/beacon/phone/chicken sandwich. Quality made and seem like they are going to serve their purpose for many years to come.

Materials and construction of the bib are all very good quality. Happy with that. Not all that happy with the fit. Sync's fit profiling is a cool idea, but it put me in a large and a medium would've definitely been better. If it had some loops for a belt or built-in adjustment around the waist, then that would provide some personal "customization" of the fit. As is, I'm stuck with the bagginess of the waist and I have the suspenders cranked to hold the pants up so they aren't too long. In short, great quality item, not great fit.

You can see and feel the quality in these and you absolutely get what you pay for. Ankle cuffs, useful pocket options and three way zippers (both sides and middle) for easy on/off are some of my favorite features. Regarding fit, as someone with a dad bod the stretchy fabric is the best feature for me and is very forgiving which makes it easier if you’re between sizes. I am a 36 waste and went with the XL which will fit me perfectly after I shed some COVID calories.

The Headwall Stretch Shell Bib Pant was more than worth the wait since the Kickstarter campaign first opened. This is a smartly designed pant that features a waterproof, breathable, durable fabric than can more than handle the rigors of backcountry skiing or race coaching on the front side of the mountain. Loads of technical features, stretch fabric, and suspenders make this pant comfortable for all day wear. This pant is great for active days, warmer days, or, when layered underneath, colder days. This Headwall Stretch Shell Bib Pant will be your go to pant.

Love these bibs. The full side zippers are clutch. Big pockets and great fit. Wouldn't change a thing.

The headwall bib has been my go to pant for the past few year. The stretch fabric moves with you making it perfect for on piste, backcountry skiing or riding the snow pony. The full length zips act as perfect vents and an easy way to dump heat when you are on the skin trail. Pockets in all the right places! The perfect bib!
