Move Stronger

The Opedix® Base Layer uses patented directional compression technology to keep your body in proper kinetic alignment. It supports the hips, knees, and core to promote stronger positioning, more efficient movement, and healthier mechanics. The result is less strain on joints and muscles and improved overall performance.

Reduce INJURY RISK

The Opedix® Base Layer encourages healthy movement patterns by redistributing pressure from vulnerable joints to stronger muscles like the glutes and hamstrings. Clinical studies show it can reduce injuries (to knees, hips, and back) by up to 78%, delivering brace-like support without bulk or restriction.

Improve Performance

Through targeted directional compression zones, the Opedix® Base Layer supports key muscles that often tire out first, especially around your hips and knees. This reduces fatigue during long training days and limits wasted energy caused by inefficient movement. You’ll feel more responsive in your legs and able to ski more runs without feeling worn out.

Recover Faster

The compression is snug around the ankles and gradually loosens as it moves up the legs. This graduated compression helps improve circulation, reduce swelling, and support faster muscle repair. Wearing the Opedix® Base Layer during or after skiing helps you bounce back quickly and stay consistent in your training.

OPEDIX® FAQs

What is kinetic alignment?

Kinetic alignment is the optimal positioning of the body’s joints and muscles during movement. When the hips, knees, and core are properly aligned, forces are distributed more efficiently, reducing strain on vulnerable joints, improving movement mechanics, and allowing muscles to work the way they are intended.

What is directional compression?

Targeted directional compression in the Opedix® Base Layer is the patented system of strategically placed compression zones that support key muscles and guide joint positioning. By applying pressure in specific directions, it helps the body maintain proper alignment, improves movement efficiency, reduces fatigue, and protects vulnerable joints during activity.

Who is the Opedix® Base Layer for?

The Opedix® Base Layer is built for skiers and was tested on snow with ski racing athletes. Wear it anytime you’re on the hill for training or races to protect joints, support muscles, and reduce fatigue. It’s also ideal for the gym or post-session recovery, helping you maintain alignment and bounce back faster after hard workouts with targeted compression.

Is the Opedix® Base Layer comfortable to wear under ski gear?

Absolutely. The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and designed to move with you. It provides targeted support without the bulk or restriction of braces or heavy compression layers.

Why is the Opedix® Base Layer ideal for ski racers?

Competitive skiers benefit from enhanced joint support and muscle activation. The directional compression zones guide proper alignment, reduce stress on vulnerable joints, and improve movement efficiency. Tested on snow, ski racers experienced less fatigue and a lower rate of injuries, making it an incredible layer for improved performance and protection.
